The next morning was once again a pretty good morning & we had the fantastic ride out of the place through Kahurangi National Park. It was just as great riding out of there as it was riding into it. I think this will be on my list of top rides for a long time & if you ever get the chance to ride into Golden Bay – take the opportunity!
It was a quick but enjoyable ride to Nelson. Once in Nelson, Manny & went our seperate ways as we wanted to do very different things.
Manny headed into the wilderness of the Abel Tasman National Park to commune with nature while I continued onto Picton for a few days R'n'R.
We met up again on Christmas Day at the ferry which concluded our journey to Bluff & around the South Island.
While in Picton, I spent most of my time exploring the coastline & taking photographs. Where I was staying overlooked the ports & I viewed some amazing cloud formations rolling over the hills overland from the sea. It was a pretty relaxed time.
